Mission
The Vintage Faith
Community is an urban network of missional communities that form a truthful
expression of the kingdom of God, receiving grace from God to tangibly show His
love to our neighbors, in order to bring the Gospel to our city, the northwest,
and the world.
An Urban Network –
in the city, across the city, for the city
Although
our all-church gatherings are downtown, we see ourselves as serving the City,
especially in the particular needs of an urban setting – music, arts, poverty,
injustice, homelessness, etc.
Of Missional
Communities – gathering in the life and mission of God
Smaller
groups form the center of the church, creating intimate spaces to know and be
known, to discover and use gifts, and to worship God in prayer, accountability,
Bible study.
Who are a
truthful expression of the kingdom of God – plowing a kingdom culture
We
are not the kingdom, but a part of the kingdom, and in all we do we want to
reflect accurately the heart of our God, including living a selfless &
sacrificial life for the sake of others, defining sexuality & gender
Biblically, and maintaining purity and honor in our relationships.
Receiving Grace
from God – passionate, authentic, spiritual
We
value putting ourselves in the position to receive grace from God through
spiritual disciplines, corporate worship, and honest confession of sin.
To Tangibly Show
His Love to our neighbors – missional witness
Where
we live, work, and play is no accident; God has placed us there for the purpose
of advancing his kingdom. To that
end, we work together to love and serve everyone because they are image bearers
and in hopes that they, too, might come to know Jesus and receive eternal life!
In Order To Bring
the Gospel to Spokane, the Northwest, and the World – global perspective
Our
ultimate goal is God’s ultimate goal: the name of Jesus worshipped and adored
in every tongue, tribe, and nation.
While it begins in our backyard, we cooperate with churches and mission
agencies in order to accomplish the Great Commission.
