VintageKIDS

From the beginning, the Vintage Faith Community has placed a high priority on kids.  As parents, we want our community to be a safe place for our kids to grow in their knowledge and love of God.  But we don't believe the Sunday service is the primary place for this growth to happen.  God has appointed parents as the primary spiritual guardians and educators of their children.  At Vintage, we want to partner with parents in establishing their kids in Christ for a lifetime of growth, service, and mission.

VintageKIDS is for kids five years old through 6th grade.  As a parent, it is your responsibility to decide when your kids should be capable of sitting through the entire service.  It is our hope to be able to assist you as you make decisions about your children’s spiritual development. At our Sunday evening gatherings, parents are encouraged to take an active role in teaching their children about what we do during our worship service.  For this reason, kids older than four remain in the service during the singing (kids under four can be taken to the nursery at any time).  After the singing, we’ll take a short break to allow parents to check their kids in for VintageKIDS.  Through songs, games, object lessons, crafts, and Bible lessons, kids will be encouraged to become whole-hearted followers of Jesus.  Often the lesson taught will correspond to the text and message from the adult service.  This will give parents the opportunity to interact with their kids on the application of the Scriptures to daily life.

In addition, the first Sunday of each month kids older than four stay with the adults for the entire service.  We will provide crayons and activity papers to help keep them entertained. As parents, we encourage you to take this time to teach your children about the importance of hearing God’s word taught, about worshipping in community, and about the importance of prayer, communion, and singing.
