partners in mission

We live in an age of individualism, and it certainly has impacted the church. No one wants to be held accountable and everyone wants to be in control. the emerging church

There are a number of streams of theology and new church work in the western world today, and it is often difficult to keep track of it all.  Too many blogs, too many new books, and too many emerging church conferences means it is challenging to know who is saying what about Jesus.  Who are the reformers?  Who are the heretics?  Who loves Jesus?  Who wants to get rid of him?  Who still believes the Gospel? Next Section in Mark

We have rounded the corner in Mark's Gospel.  In the first half of the Gospel, chapters 1-8, Mark has forced us to ask the question, "Who is this?"  He has also forced us to see that no one gets Jesus! reading ahead

As i have put together the study guide for Mark, I have been repeatedly blessed by James Edward's Pillar NT Commentary.  It is the best Mark commentary I have seen (in my humble and limited experience - I use about 10 commentaries in my prep work). Right now I am writing commentary on the power-packed verse in Mark 10.46, "For even the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many," both exploring the discipleship ...
